GENTILLY PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH 3708 Gentilly Boulevard., New Orleans, LA |
ORGAN HISTORICAL INFORMAITON |
According to OUSCDB records, two Moller organs were supplied to Gentilly Presbyterian Church. The first organ, which was identified as Moller Opus 6440 (1937) was later sold to Holy Comforter Church when it was located on Mirabeau near Elysian Fields. When Holy Comforter closed and re-opened as a chapel on the UNO campus, Opus 6440 went to St. Anna's Episcopal Church on Esplanade Avenue. The Second Moller organ, Opus 9224, a 2 manual 34 stop organ, is believed to have been in the building as late as 2005, prior to Hurricane Katrina, and it may still be at that location. |
